Full and half day guided walking tours on Auckland’s iconic Rangitoto Island and an introduction to neighbouring Motutapu island, the ancient home of the Ngāi Tai Māori people.

Knowledgeable guides will share with you traditional and contemporary stories linked to these beautiful islands. These are fully guided walking tours where your specialist kaiārahi (guide) will share their local knowledge and expertise, so you can feel a part of this stunning landscape and learn the stories of this land and people. You can also borrow any gear you need to help you enjoy your day walking, like a day pack or walking poles.

This experience will also allow you to view New Zealand’s best example of flora and fauna regeneration programmes. It is for this reason that bird species from around the country are relocated to Rangitoto and Motutapu.

We currently offer both half day and full day guided walking tours.
